Σε έγγραφη καταγγελία για κακοποίηση ζώων στον Μαραθόκαμπο (Κάμπος-Βοτσαλάκια) προχώρησε μια κυρία η οποία για λίγες ημέρες έμενε στη συγκεκριμένη περιοχή απολαμβάνοντας τις διακοπές της με την οικογένειά της.
Η κυρία, τα στοιχεία της οποίας είναι στη διάθεση της ιστοσελίδας (samostoday.gr) και του ραδιοφωνικού σταθμού (Radio Café 102.4), περιγράφει τα όσα βίωσε στα Ελληνικά, Αγγλικά και Γερμανικά.

Ονομάζομαι……… και θα ήθελα να αναφέρω έναν επιθετικό κακοποιό ζώων στον Κάμπο Βοτσαλάκια της Σάμου.
Ήμουν διακοπές από 04/08/2022 – 11/08/2022 με τον άντρα μου και τα δύο μου παιδιά στον Κάμπο Βοτσαλάκια Σάμου στο Studio ……….
Τα παιδιά μου ανακάλυψαν πολλά ζώα (περίπου 8 σκυλιά, συμπεριλαμβανομένων 3 κουταβιών και 1 κατσίκας) σε ένα γειτονικό ακίνητο που δεν φυλάσσονταν με τρόπο κατάλληλο για το είδος. Ένα κουτάβι (περίπου 8 εβδομάδων) έχει σοβαρούς τραυματισμούς και στα δύο αυτιά, έλκη στα μάτια και έχει μολυνθεί πολύ από τσιμπούρια.
Η κατσίκα έχει ένα μεγάλο εξόγκωμα στο πρόσωπό της (ίσως έναν όγκο ή κύστη) και είναι μόνιμα δεμένη σε ένα κορδόνι 3 ποδιών. Η μητέρα σκυλίτσα φυλάσσεται σε ένα αρκετά μικρό περίβλημα με ένα από τα κουτάβια και έχει επίσης ένα εξόγκωμα (πιθανόν έναν όγκο) στο λαιμό της. Ένας άλλος σκύλος είναι μόνιμα κολλημένος στο δέντρο με μια αλυσίδα και δεν μπορεί να τρέξει ελεύθερα. Όλα τα ζώα καλύπτονται επίσης από τσιμπούρια. Δύο σκυλιά ήταν επανειλημμένα κλειδωμένα στο αυτοκίνητο του ιδιοκτήτη για πολλή ώρα σε θερμοκρασία περίπου 35 °C.
Ο ιδιοκτήτης άνοιξε μόνο λίγο τα παράθυρα του αυτοκινήτου και έβαλε ένα κουβά νερό στο αυτοκίνητο. Ένας άλλος σκύλος, αρσενικό (σύμφωνα με τον ιδιοκτήτη, πρόκειται για τον πατέρα των κουταβιών) είχε ένα μεγάλο τραύμα στο κεφάλι του που ήδη επουλωνόταν.
Προσπάθησα να επιστήσω προσωπικά την προσοχή του ιδιοκτήτη στην κατάσταση του ζώου και του ζήτησα να πάει επειγόντως ένα από τα κουτάβια στον γιατρό, αλλά ένιωσε προσβεβλημένος και νόμιζε ότι τα ζώα ήταν καλά. Πήρα το κουτάβι στο κατάλυμά μας στις 9 Αυγούστου 2022 και προσπάθησα να περιποιηθώ τις πληγές του όσο περισσότερο μπορούσα και αφαίρεσα περίπου 20 – 30 τσιμπούρια από το σώμα του.
Το επόμενο πρωί επέστρεψα στον ιδιοκτήτη και του είπα ότι είχα πάρει το κουτάβι για να το βοηθήσω και επανέλαβα ότι χρειαζόταν ιατρική φροντίδα. Με ρώτησε αν ήθελα τον σκύλο. Του είπα ότι θα ήθελα να βγάλω όλα τα ζώα από την ιδιοκτησία του αν μπορούσα. Με ρώτησε τι ήθελα να κάνω με τα ζώα και είπα ότι ήθελα να τα δώσω σε κάποιον που θα φρόντιζε τα ζώα.
Στη συνέχεια έγινε εχθρικός και λίγο αργότερα εγκατέλειψε το ακίνητο με το αυτοκίνητό του. Μάταια ψάχναμε με τον σύζυγό μου ένα νοικιασμένο αυτοκίνητο για να πάμε το ζώο στον γιατρό, αλλά δυστυχώς πήραν όλα τα ενοικιαζόμενα αυτοκίνητα.
Εν τω μεταξύ ενημέρωσα την προστασία των ζώων στη Σάμο, η οποία στη συνέχεια ενημέρωσε την αστυνομία στον Μαραθόκαμπο Σάμου. Ως αποτέλεσμα, ένας αστυνομικός πήγε το απόγευμα στο σπίτι του ιδιοκτήτη και πιθανότατα του είπε για την καταγγελία. Λίγο αργότερα, ο ιδιοκτήτης των ζώων βρήκε το κατάλυμα μας και ήρθε στο δωμάτιό μας μαζί με την σπιτονοικοκυρά μας και με απείλησε με ένα μεγάλο ραβδί και απαίτησε να του δώσω τον σκύλο του.
Τον ρώτησα τι ήθελε να κάνει με τον σκύλο και είπε αν ήθελε θα τον στραγγάλιζε. Προσπάθησα να τον κρατήσω μακριά από το σκυλί, αλλά συνέχισε να με απειλεί με το ραβδί και εισέβαλε στο διαμέρισμά μας, άρπαξε μοχθηρά το κουτάβι από το λαιμό και εξαφανίστηκε μαζί του. Ενημέρωσα αμέσως την φιλοζωική και μετά την αστυνομία. Στη συνέχεια ήρθαν στο κατάλυμά μας για ανάκριση και πήραν τα προσωπικά μου στοιχεία. Υποσχέθηκαν να εξετάσουν το θέμα.
Απαιτώ για άλλη μια φορά από την αρμόδια αρχή προστασίας των ζώων στην Ελλάδα ή/και το αντίστοιχο αστυνομικό τμήμα να εφαρμόσει την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία για την προστασία των ζώων και να διατάξει τον ιδιοκτήτη του κατοικίδιου να πληρώσει τις κατάλληλες κυρώσεις και να παραδώσει τα ζώα σε σωματείο προστασίας ζώων.
Ζητώ επειγόντως γραπτή επιβεβαίωση της παραλαβής της αναφοράς μου και απόδειξη ότι αυτό το έγκλημα διώκεται.

Ladies and Gentlemen
My name is …… and I would like to report an aggressive animal abuser in Kampos Votsalakia, Samos.
I was on vacation from 04/08/2022 – 11/08/2022 with my husband and my two children in Kampos Votsalakia, Samos at Studio …….
My children discovered several animals (about 8 dogs, including 3 puppies and 1 goat) on a neighboring property that were not kept in a species-appropriate manner. A puppy (about 8 weeks old) has severe injuries on both ears, ulcerated eyes and has been very heavily infested with ticks. The goat has a large bump on its face (perhaps a tumor or cyst) and is permanently tied to a 3-foot string. The mother dog is kept in a fairly small enclosure with one of the puppies and also has a lump (possibly a tumour) on her neck. Another dog is permanently attached to the tree with a chain and cannot run freely. All animals are also covered in ticks. Two dogs were repeatedly locked in the owner’s car for a long time at approx. 35 °C heat. The owner only opened the car windows a little and put a bucket of water in the car. Another dog, male (according to the owner, this is the father of the puppies) had a large injury on his head which was already healing. I tried to personally draw the owner’s attention to the animal’s condition and asked him to take one of the puppies to the doctor urgently, but he felt offended and thought the animals were fine.
I took the puppy to our accommodation on August 9th, 2022 and tried to treat his wounds as far as I could and removed about 20 – 30 ticks from his body. The next morning I went back to the owner and told him that I had taken the puppy to help him and reiterated that he needed medical attention. He asked me if I wanted the dog. I told him that I would like to take all the animals off his property if I could. He asked what I wanted to do with the animals and I said I wanted to give them to someone who would take care of the animals. He then became unfriendly and shortly afterwards left the property in his car. My husband and I looked in vain for a rental car to take the animal to the doctor, but unfortunately all the rental cars were taken. In the meantime I informed the animal protection on Samos, which then informed the police in Marathokampos, Samos.
As a result, a police officer drove to the owner’s home in the afternoon and probably told him about the complaint. Shortly thereafter, the owner of the animals found our accommodation and came to our room together with our landlady and threatened me with a big stick and demanded that I give him his dog. I asked him what he wanted to do with the dog and he said if he wanted to he would strangle him. I tried to keep him away from the dog but he kept threatening me with the stick and stormed into our apartment, viciously grabbing the puppy by the neck and disappearing with him. I immediately informed animal welfare and then the police. They then came to our accommodation for an interrogation and took my personal details. They promised to look into the matter.
I hereby demand once again that the animal welfare authorities responsible in Greece and/or the corresponding police department implement the applicable animal welfare law and order the animal owner the appropriate penalties and hand over the animals to an animal welfare association.
I urgently request written confirmation of receipt of my report and proof that this crime is being prosecuted.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
mein Name ist …… und ich möchte hiermit einen aggressiven Tierquäler in Kampos Votsalakia, Samos anzeigen.
Ich war vom 04.08.2022 – 11.08.2022 mit meinem Mann und meinen beiden Kindern in Kampos Votsalakia, Samos im Studio ……
Meine Kinder entdeckten auf einem Nachbargrundstück mehrere Tiere (ca. 8 Hunde, davon 3 Welpen und 1 Ziege), die nicht artgerecht gehalten werden. Ein Welpe (ca. 8 Wochen alt) hat starke Verletzungen an beiden Ohren, vereiterte Augen und ist sehr stark von Zecken befallen gewesen. Die Ziege hat eine große Beule im Gesicht (vielleicht ein Tumor oder eine Zyste) und ist dauerhaft an einer ca. 1 Meter langen Schnur festgebunden. Die Hundemutter wird mit einem der Welpen in einem ziemlich kleinen Gehege gehalten und hat ebenfalls eine Beule (auch eventuell ein Tumor) am Hals. Ein weiterer Hund ist dauerhaft mit einer Kette am Baum befestigt und hat keinen Freilauf. Alle Tiere sind zudem von Zecken übersät. Zwei Hunde wurden mehrfach bei ca. 35 °C Hitze für längere Zeit im Auto des Besitzers eingeschlossen. Der Besitzer hatte lediglich die Fenster des Autos ein kleines Stück geöffnet und einen Eimer mit Wasser in das Auto gestellt. Ein weiterer Hund, männlich, (laut Aussage des Besitzers, ist das der Vater der Welpen) hatte eine große Verletzung auf dem Kopf die bereits am abheilen war. Ich habe versucht den Besitzer persönlich über den Missstand der Tiere aufmerksam zu machen und habe ihn gebeten den einen Welpen dringend zum Arzt zu bringen, aber dieser fühlte sich angegriffen und war der Meinung, den Tieren geht es gut. Ich habe am 09.08.2022 den Welpen in unsere Unterkunft mitgenommen und seine Wunden versucht zu versorgen soweit es mir möglich war und habe ca. 20 – 30 Zecken von seinem Körper entfernt.
Am nächsten Morgen habe ich den Besitzer wieder aufgesucht und ihm mitgeteilt, dass ich den Welpen mitgenommen habe um ihn zu helfen und habe erneuert gesagt, dass dieser ärztliche Hilfe benötigt. Er fragte mich ob ich den Hund haben möchte. Ich sagte ihm, dass ich am liebsten alle Tiere von seinem Grundstück mitnehmen würde wenn ich könnte. Er fragte, was ich mit den Tieren machen wolle und ich sagte, dass ich sie jemanden geben möchte, der sich um die Tiere kümmert. Daraufhin wurde er unfreundlich und verließ kurz darauf mit seinem Auto das Grundstück. Ich suchte mit meinem Mann vergeblich einen Mietwagen, um das Tier zum Arzt zu fahren, aber leider waren alle Mietwagen vergeben. In der Zwischenzeit habe ich den Tierschutz auf Samos informiert, welcher daraufhin die Polizei in Marathokampos, Samos verständigte.
Daraufhin ist am Nachmittag ein Polizist zu dem Besitzer nach Hause gefahren und hat ihm vermutlich von der Beschwerde erzählt. Kurz darauf hat der Besitzer der Tiere unsere Unterkunft ausfindig gemacht und kam gemeinsam mit unserer Vermieterin auf unser Zimmer und bedrohte mich mit einem großen Stock und forderte, dass ich ihm seinen Hund geben soll. Ich fragte ihn was er mit dem Hund machen wolle und er sagte, wenn er will wird er ihn erwürgen. Ich versuchte ihn von dem Hund fernzuhalten aber er bedrohte mich weiterhin mit dem Stock und stürmte in unser Apartment, packte den Welpen bösartig am Nacken und verschwand mit ihm. Ich informierte sofort wieder den Tierschutz und anschließend die Polizei. Diese kam dann zum Verhör in unsere Unterkunft und nahm meine Personalien auf. Sie versprachen der Sache nachzugehen.
Ich fordere hiermit nochmals, dass die in Griechenland zuständige Tierschutzbehörde und / oder die entsprechende Polizeidienststelle das geltende Tierschutzgesetz umsetzt und dem Tierhalter die entsprechenden Strafen anordnet und die Tiere an einen Tierschutzverein übergibt.
Ich bitte dringend um eine schriftliche Bestätigung zum Erhalt meiner Anzeige und einen Nachweis, dass diese Straftat verfolgt wird.
